Hebron IT Academy Advance Computer Tech Hub: Building Futures Through Technology

Introduction

Located in the Lviv region of Ukraine, the Hebron IT Academy serves as a safe haven for orphans, refugees, and disadvantaged youth. Though distant from the frontlines, Lviv continues to feel the lasting effects of the conflict, displacement, and uncertainty. In this environment, Hebron stands as a beacon of stability, offering not only education but also hope and belonging to those who have lost both.

At Hebron, students, many arriving with urgent social and emotional needs, find more than a place to study; they find a community that empowers them to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

The Challenge

The main challenges include the lack of modern equipment and dedicated space needed for advanced, hands-on tech training, as well as the added support required for vulnerable students coping with displacement and emotional hardship. Completing the Computer Tech Hub is essential to deliver high-quality learning and improve their chances for stable, future employment.

The Project

The proposed initiative aims to create an advanced Computer and Technology Hub within a specially equipped facility, providing the infrastructure necessary for high-level training in fields such as 3D Printing, Virtual/Augmented/Extended Reality, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Hardware Programming.

This new hub will give students practical, hands-on experience to complement their IT science studies, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application. It will also nurture a culture of innovation, teamwork, and mentorship, where experienced students help guide newcomers, fostering a sustainable, compassionate learning community.

Beneficiaries

Hebron IT Academy currently supports 44 students aged 18-23, most of whom are orphans or young people displaced and vulnerable. With Defi For Good’s support, they will gain access to a modern technological environment that will dramatically improve the quality of their training, strengthen their employability, and empower them to contribute meaningfully to Ukraine’s recovery and digital future.

Why This Matters

Education at Hebron IT Academy is more than learning; it’s a lifeline. By investing in this new Computer Hub, Defi For Good will help transform hardship into opportunity, equipping vulnerable youth with the digital skills, confidence, and community support they need to rebuild their futures.

This initiative doesn’t just fund technology, it fuels resilience, independence, and innovation in a generation that will help shape Ukraine’s renewal.
