Across India, thousands of people with physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities continue to face significant barriers to employment. Despite their talent, determination, and potential, many struggle to access meaningful work, limiting their opportunities for economic independence and social inclusion.

For years, Mitti Cafe has been changing this reality by creating inclusive workplaces where ability is celebrated and opportunity is accessible to all. Through its unique café model, the organization empowers people with disabilities while raising awareness about inclusion with every meal served.

Today, DeFi for Good Foundation is proud to support the development of Mitti Cafe Express, helping bring the Magic of Abilities to even more communities across India.

For many people with disabilities, finding employment remains one of the greatest barriers to achieving independence. Social stigma, inaccessible workplaces, and limited opportunities continue to exclude thousands of capable individuals from the workforce.

Without meaningful employment, many face financial dependence, social isolation, and fewer opportunities to develop their skills and confidence.

Creating inclusive workplaces helps break these barriers by providing not only jobs, but dignity, purpose, and the opportunity to participate fully in society.

Mitti Cafe Express is a new initiative developed by Mitti Cafe to expand its inclusive employment model across India.

Designed as a compact and accessible café concept, Mitti Cafe Express creates meaningful employment opportunities for people with physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities while bringing inclusive workplaces to new communities.

Each café provides professional training, hands-on work experience, and long-term employment in a supportive environment where individuals can develop valuable skills, gain confidence, and achieve greater economic independence.

Today, Mitti Cafe operates more than 50 cafés across India, employing hundreds of adults with disabilities and vulnerable backgrounds. Together, they have served more than 20 million meals in institutions including the Supreme Court of India, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Bengaluru International Airport, demonstrating every day the organization's philosophy: the Magic of Abilities.

Through this partnership, DeFi for Good Foundation supports the expansion of Mitti Cafe Express, helping create even more opportunities for inclusion and sustainable employment.
