Every young person deserves the opportunity to build a future filled with purpose. For Ihor, that opportunity began with a single invitation that changed the course of his life.
Ihor and his sister grew up in a children's shelter before later moving to a boarding school. Like many children raised without the support of a family, his future was uncertain, with limited opportunities to pursue higher education or meaningful employment.
Everything changed when he was introduced to Hebron IT Academy and invited to move to Lviv to discover the world of programming.
At Hebron, Ihor found stability, guidance, and an environment where he could grow both personally and professionally. Through structured education, practical life skills, physical activities, and the support of dedicated mentors, he was given the opportunity to build a future that once seemed out of reach.
As he developed his programming skills, Ihor earned an internship in Information Technology, gaining valuable hands-on experience that prepared him for the next step in his journey.
Today, Ihor works as a Front-End Developer and is also a mentor, supporting other students as they begin their own path into technology.
His story is a testament to the power of opportunity. When young people are given the right environment, education, and encouragement, they gain far more than technical skills, they gain the confidence and independence to shape their own future.
Through the support of DeFi for Good Foundation and the development of the new Computer Tech Hub, Hebron IT Academy will be able to offer these same opportunities to even more vulnerable young people, helping them build careers, independence, and hope for the future.
