Rainwater to Relief: Transforming Lives in Tanzania

In July 2025, the DeFi for Good Foundation proudly inaugurated a new rainwater harvesting tank in Kangeme, a moment filled with joy, hope, and bright smiles from the students and teachers who gathered around the newly built tank. For the school, the community center, and the surrounding neighborhoods, as well as the 3,000 people across 43 villages who have long struggled through months without clean water, this project brings relief, dignity, and the promise of healthier days ahead.

By capturing rainwater directly from the center’s roof and storing it in the newly built tank, the system offers a dependable source of safe and clean water where it is needed most.

Built with the hands and heart of local workers, the project stands as a testament to the strength of the Kangeme community and the transformative power of coming together to create a better future.
