Introduction
At Ashabari Home of Hope in Kolkata, every improvement to the living environment directly enhances the quality of life for residents living with physical and mental disabilities. For many, daily movement, rehabilitation, and social interaction depend on having safe and accessible spaces designed around their needs.
With the support of DeFi for Good Foundation, construction of the new Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Area is making significant progress, bringing the project closer to becoming a reality.

Progress Update
Construction of the rehabilitation area has advanced substantially, with the main structure now completed and the new facility clearly taking shape.
Once finished, the space will provide residents with dedicated areas for physiotherapy, rehabilitation exercises, and recreational activities, allowing them to receive consistent care in a safe and comfortable environment.
The project has been carefully designed to improve mobility, encourage greater independence, and provide an inclusive space where residents can continue their physical recovery while enjoying meaningful social interaction.

Why This Matters
For many Ashabari residents, rehabilitation is not simply about physical therapy. It is about preserving independence, improving confidence, and enhancing overall wellbeing.
The new facility will allow caregivers and therapists to provide more structured rehabilitation while giving residents a purpose-built environment where they can exercise, recover, and spend time together.
As construction continues, this project represents another important step towards creating a home where every resident receives the care, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.
